Empowering Recovery Through Learning: New Partnership with The Legacy Center
At Ten16 Recovery Network, we know that recovery doesn’t just mean overcoming addiction—it means building a strong foundation for a thriving life. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce a powerful new partnership with the Legacy Center for Community Success, bringing adult education directly to our Midland Recovery Center. Since the Legacy Center is the long-time SUD prevention provider in Midland County, Ten16 has partnered with them. But this is the first time we have partnered with the others side of their organization, and early results have exceeded our expectations!
Since February 25, 2025, staff from the Legacy Center’s Adult Learner Program have been visiting Ten16 each week to offer three impactful learning tracks: Digital Literacy Skills, Financial Literacy, and Pre-GED coursework. The response from our recovery community has been incredible.
“Wow! How amazing is that!” said Julie Hyatt, Director of Adult Literacy at the Legacy Center. “We are so pleased with how well this has started off. The learners seem very motivated to work at their pace and at the level and program that works for them.”
Here’s a look at the momentum so far:
- Digital Literacy Skills:
15 learners enrolled (5 men and 10 women)
→ Already, 1 man has passed a module, and 3 women have collectively passed 10 modules! - Financial Literacy:
8 learners enrolled in this 15-week course (3 men and 5 women)
→ Covering essential life skills like budgeting, credit management, and savings. - Pre-GED (Aztec Learning):
4 learners enrolled (3 men and 1 woman)
→ Working toward academic goals with tailored support.
Because several learners are enrolled in more than one program, 20 unique individuals from Ten16 have signed up so far—and more are joining at every visit.
This partnership reflects Ten16’s commitment to whole-person recovery: providing not only clinical support, but access to tools that empower independence, confidence, and long-term success. We’re excited to see this partnership grow and continue opening new doors for our clients.
