Moving Forward in Gladwin

Moving Forward in Gladwin

Generous community support is helping plans take shape.

In April of last year, Ten16 shared the great news of a generous gift from the DeShano Community Foundation to help us expand our services in Gladwin County with funds for a new office home. We’re happy to let you know that this plan is now moving ahead.

Ten16 has bought land next to the MyMichigan Health Urgent Care Center on M-61 in Gladwin. This spot is easy to find and reach, making it easier for more people and families to get recovery support close to home. We are also grateful to MyMichigan Health for donating a strip of land behind our parcel and granting an easement for shared access. Together, these contributions will allow for a safer, more convenient entrance to the new office and make it easier for individuals and families to reach Ten16’s services.

Our team is working with architects and local partners to finish the site and floor plans for the new facility. We want to make sure the building is welcoming and practical, and that it meets the needs of the people we serve now and in the future. For the curious, here are links to the preliminary looks at the site plan and the office floor plan.

“This new location represents more than a building. It stands for hope, connection, and a lasting commitment to Gladwin County,” said Brenna Kind, Ten16’s Community Engagement Manager for Gladwin. “We are grateful for the relationships we have built throughout the community and excited to create a space where people can feel welcomed, supported, and connected to the resources they need.”
This project shows Ten16’s long-term commitment to making recovery support easier to access in rural areas. By creating a permanent home in Gladwin, we can build stronger partnerships, meet local needs, and help people find their way to health, purpose, and lasting recovery.

We are very thankful to the DeShano Community Foundation for their generous support, which made this opportunity possible, and to the generosity of MyMichigan Health for enhancing the opportunity. We’ll share more updates as our plans are finished and the project moves forward.
