The Midland Area Community Foundation supports the ARCH Project!

Ten16 Recovery Network is proud to announce it has been awarded a grant from the Midland Area Community Foundation to support the launch of The ARCH Project, a transformative, 24-month initiative designed to expand capacity, ensure sustainability, and embrace a comprehensive population health approach to addiction recovery.

For over a decade, Ten16 has been a cornerstone in addressing the opioid and addiction crisis across mid-Michigan. In that time, the organization has grown its reach from six counties to eleven, now offering services at 22 locations and launching three new programs in response to rising community demand. This rapid growth reflects Ten16’s unwavering commitment to making recovery accessible—but it has also surfaced critical capacity challenges, particularly in workforce development, infrastructure, and leadership transitions.

The ARCH Project—Advancing Recovery and Community Health—builds upon the strong foundation established by the BRIDGE Initiative, also supported by the Midland Area Community Foundation. While BRIDGE focuses on developing infrastructure, expanding programs, and strengthening leadership, ARCH takes the next step of integrating behavioral and physical health services by moving toward a Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Health Home approach to care.

This innovative Health Home model is designed to coordinate care across providers, addressing not just addiction but also co-occurring health conditions and the social determinants that often underlie substance use. It’s not a physical structure but an intentional, holistic approach to addressing the various factors that could disrupt someone’s recovery journey. Implementing this wellness model will require significant capacity building—developing a skilled workforce, enhancing infrastructure, and adopting data-driven systems to support integrated care.

“We are incredibly grateful to the Midland Area Community Foundation for their generous support in helping us launch The ARCH Project,” said Sam Price, President & CEO of Ten16 Recovery Network. “Their investment ensures that we can build on the foundation of the BRIDGE Initiative, strengthening our capacity to meet the growing needs of individuals facing substance use disorders. Together, we are creating a healthier, more resilient community where everyone has the opportunity to recover and thrive.”

Ten16’s vision is not just to respond to addiction but to shape the future of recovery in Michigan. Thanks to the continued partnership of the Midland Area Community Foundation, that future is one step closer.
