We’re thrilled to share the news of a transformative addition to Ten16 Recovery Network: completing our new forest therapy trail! This serene space was made possible through the incredible generosity of the Midland County United Way in collaboration with the Chippewa Nature Center and a dedicated volunteer team from Trinseo.

The first section of the trail has been covered with ADA-compliant gravel, making it accessible for those with limited mobility to experience the beauty and tranquility of nature. For many, being in nature is essential to healing and well-being, and we are deeply grateful that more people in our community will have access to this experience.

The hardworking team from Trinseo also constructed a firepit to serve as a focal point for our fireside recovery meetings, offering warmth and a gathering space for reflection and fellowship. We’re excited for this new resource’s impact on those we serve, providing them with a supportive environment to reconnect with nature and each other.

Thank you once again to the Midland County United Way, the Chippewa Nature Center, and Trinseo for helping make this vision a reality. We look forward to this trail’s positive ripple effects to our community for years to come!
