Arenac County, Here We Come!

Arenac County, Here We Come!

And Northern Bay County Too!

At Ten16, we believe every kid can be the hero of their own story! We are excited to announce a significant new development at Ten16 Recovery Network! MidState Health Network has awarded us a contract to provide Substance Misuse Prevention services in Arenac County and northern Bay County schools and education and outreach programs with the local coalition. This initiative marks a major step in our commitment to fostering healthier communities and empowering the next generation.

A New Chapter in Prevention Services

Starting this September 2024], Ten16 Recovery Network will collaborate with local schools and coalitions to deliver comprehensive substance misuse prevention programs. Our efforts will focus on:

  • Education: Implementing evidence-based curricula and interactive workshops designed to inform students about the risks of substance misuse and equip them with the skills to make healthy choices.
  • Harm Reduction: Providing resources and strategies to reduce the potential harms associated with substance use, aiming to create a safer environment for our community.
  • Stigma Reduction: Working to change the narrative around substance misuse through awareness campaigns and community engagement, fostering a more supportive and understanding atmosphere.

Strengthening Community Partnerships

In addition to working within schools, Ten16 Recovery Network will partner with local coalitions to amplify its impact. These collaborations will enhance its outreach efforts, integrate its programs with community needs, and support ongoing initiatives in education, harm reduction, and stigma reduction.

“This contract represents a tremendous opportunity for us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people and their families. It is a perfect extension of the treatment and support programming we already offer in Arenac County,” said Sam Price, President/CEO of Ten16. “By joining forces with MidState Health Network and local coalitions, we are strengthening our collective ability to address substance misuse at its roots and foster a healthier, more resilient community.”

What’s Next?

As we embark on this new initiative, we will update you on our progress and the positive changes we’re witnessing in our schools and communities. We are pleased to announce that Pam Yanoski, a long-time Preventionist in the community, has been retained by Ten16, and is a welcome addition to our team! We are grateful for MidState Health Network’s support and collaboration and look forward to the impact we will achieve together.
