We are posting this notice as part of our continuing commitment to your privacy. We wanted to let you know that appointment text reminders (for group services only) were sent via an unsecured program that wasn’t supported by confidentiality requirements outlined by HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2. To our knowledge, your name and phone number have not been disclosed and remains private. Since that information was transmitted on an unsecured platform, there is a remote possibility that it could be exposed if that platform experiences a security breach.
To ensure your privacy is protected, Ten16 no longer uses that platform. We have taken several steps to prevent any potential harm in the future and will only send appointment reminders to you through a HIPAA/42 CFR Part 2 compliant platform.
Ten16 Recovery Network is committed to providing quality services, including protecting your personal information, and we want to assure you that we have policies and procedures to protect your privacy.
