Ten16 Takes Proactive Steps to Ensure Long-Term Stability Amid Financial Challenges

Ten16 Recovery Network announces it is actively navigating financial challenges affecting substance use disorder (SUD) providers across Michigan. The recent removal of over 800,000 Michigan residents from Medicaid has significantly impacted healthcare providers across the state, creating a wave of financial challenges in the behavioral health sector. Despite these pressures, Ten16 remains unwavering in its commitment to serving the region with high-quality, accessible recovery resources and services, ensuring that the quality of care remains our top priority.

The adjustments Ten16 has implemented aim to fortify the organization’s stability without compromising the quality of care. Ten16 has restructured internally to adapt, consolidating several positions to optimize resources while maintaining essential services and programs. Additionally, a recent reorganization within the leadership team has enabled the agency to align operations more efficiently and strengthen its strategic direction under a unified vision.

“These changes are part of a larger reorganization designed to grow our leaders and position us for future success,” said Sam Price, CEO of Ten16 Recovery Network. “We remain committed to serving our communities and working closely with our partners to provide the high-quality recovery services that individuals and families rely on.” This unwavering commitment to our mission ensures that our communities can continue to rely on us for support.

Ten16 has taken these actions carefully to protect its mission and remain steadfast in serving as a cornerstone of support for individuals and families navigating recovery. With position consolidations yielding an annual savings of $400,000 and adjustments to benefits plans, Ten16 is positioned to continue its mission effectively through this transition period.

“Right now, we’re walking a tightrope,” added Price. “We’re balancing short-term financial corrections on one side and preparing for future growth and succession on the other. These decisions are challenging but necessary to keep us strong and aligned with our mission.”  Price emphasizes the organization’s dedication to the region. “This moment calls for resilience and adaptation. We recognize the importance of being a stable resource in our communities, especially during economic uncertainty. Our team remains focused on ensuring that anyone needing support receives it,” Price stated.

Ten16 Recovery Network thanks the many communities, partners, and supporters for their continued commitment. Together, we will continue to build a stronger, healthier future.
