Ten16’s Pam Yanoski Honored with Spartan Spotlight by Pinconning Public Schools

Ten16 Recovery Network is proud to celebrate Pam Yanoski, Prevention Coordinator for Arenac County, who was recently honored by Pinconning Public Schools with the district’s Spartan Spotlight award.

Pam has been part of the school and community for many years, and this award shows how much people respect and appreciate her. Through her prevention work, she creates spaces where young people feel encouraged, connected, and valued. Pam often works quietly in the background, but her impact is strong.
When presenting the Spartan Spotlight, Pinconning High School Principal Dr. Braun shared a heartfelt tribute to Pam’s character and service:

“Tonight’s Spartan Spotlight honors a woman who has served her school and community for many years with grace and compassion. She leads selflessly, puts others first, and makes a lasting impact through her unwavering dedication to our students. Her actions uplift others and reflect the very best of who we strive to be.”

Dr. Braun also described Pam as someone who leads students and staff by example, showing up quietly and consistently, often without recognition and never for praise. She said that because of Pam, students feel seen, supported, and valued, and called Pam the best of us.

At Ten16, Pam’s recognition means a lot because it shows what great prevention work looks like. Prevention is more than programs or presentations; it’s about building relationships. It’s about being a trusted, steady presence for young people and helping create a community where students know they matter.

Pam brings this spirit to her work every day. Her compassion, humility, and steady commitment reflect Ten16’s mission and values. We are grateful that Pinconning Public Schools recognized her service.
Congratulations, Pam, on this well-deserved Spartan Spotlight honor! We are proud of you and thankful for the difference you make in Arenac County.
